Need help testing upcoming version of Ham Morse

Published by at 3:56 pm under Uncategorized

As you can see from the screenshots below I’m working on a new look for the Ham Morse app – more in line with iOS7+ design standards. The main goal is to provide more room for the relevant parts of the interface – the text, the most often used controls, etc. and to simplify the interface at the same time. For example the Tone slider has been moved to the settings page as it is not frequently used and that helps save space for the other controls.

I’m looking for some help to test the new version of the app on iPhones, iPads, etc. Apple bought and revamped the TestFlight testing tools that I used to use but if you are interested in helping test the app and are running iOS8 you can still register here: and then I can add you to the new TestFlight environment to give the app a try. Note that while the app itself works on iOS6+, the test environment only works for folks running iOS8+ on their devices so unfortunately if your device is running an earlier version of iOS then you can’t help with the testing at this point.

As always, any thoughts or comments most welcome!

Just explored the website. Wow! No need to recommend G4fon… It’s all here. I am running a MAC. So PC or MAC it looks like my recommendation will be AA9PW iPhone and computer. Still don’t know what to do about those members with Android phones.

I find that my iphone 4 (not s) no longer has sound no matter what I do. I have deleted ham morse, shut down the phone, restarted it, reloaded ham morese and nada…. I have sound for all other features but no sound for Ham Morse. Any ideas? It works fine on my ipad.

I have volume turned up all the way on my iphone 4. When I go to the ham morse settings it shows my volume as full on.

My iphone 4 is upgraded to version 6. There are no more upgrades for the plain vanilla iphone 4. I haven’t used ham morse for a couple of months but it worked the last time I used it on a trip.
