Ham Radio plays important role in bringing aid to an injured hiker

I came across this article today in our local paper, the Daily Camera, describing how Bill Eberle (AB0MY) put his handheld and the Colorado Connection Repeater system to good use coordinating emergency assistance to an injured hiker.

A great example of using Ham Radio when cell phones and our standard communication tools don’t work and kudos to the Colorado Connection Repeater team for creating such great coverage in our state’s mountainous regions.
